Product Description

Isobutyraldehyde, also known as 2-methylpropanal. It is colorless transparent liquid at room temperature, with irritating odor. Slightly soluble in water, miscible with ethanol, toluene, acetone and so on.

Usage

Isobutyraldehyde is an important industrial chemical widely used in pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetic fields. In the field of medicine, Isobutyraldehyde is the intermediate of vitamins, amino acids and other drugs; in the field of chemical industry, Isobutyraldehyde can be used in the production of Neopentyl Glycol, used in the production of resins, lubricants and other products. In addition, Isobutyraldehyde can also be used to make spices, dyes, rubber additives and so on.

Storage

Isobutyraldehyde is easy to oxidize, should avoid contact with air, stored under nitrogen protection.
