Product Description

Octanol, usually referred to as isooctanol, also known as 2-ethylhexanol, is a colorless transparent liquid with a special odor. Melting point -70℃, boiling point 183℃, flash point 77℃. Insoluble in water, miscible with alcohol, ether, chloroform.

Usage

Isooctanol is an important chemical raw material, mainly used in the production of plasticizers, the main products are: dioctyl benzene dicarboxylate (DOP), dioctyl acetate (DOA), trioctyl trimellitate (TOTM), as well as phthalic acid, azelaic acid, sebacic acid and other binary carboxylic acid ester plasticizers and cold-resistant auxiliary plasticizers. Isooctanol can also be used as solvent, defoamer, dispersant, lubricant, applied to paper sizing, latex, paint, printing and dyeing, film and other industries.

Packing

A dry, clean tanker should be used.

Storage

Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source, should be stored separately from oxidizers, acids, etc., do not mix storage.
