2-Methylbutyraldehyde is a colorless transparent liquid with a strong irritating odor at high concentration, but diluted to a certain extent can give off a special aroma. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol and propylene glycol.

Usage

2-Methylbutyraldehyde can be used as organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry intermediates, mostly used in the preparation of organic functional molecules.
