N-Amyl Alcohol (N-Pentanol)

Pentanol, also known as 1-pentanol, is a colorless liquid with a hetero-alcoholic oil odor. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in acetone, miscible in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents.

Usage

Pentanol can be used as a solvent and raw material for organic synthesis and plasticizer, and also used in the production of edible flavors, fragrances, pharmaceutical raw materials, non-ferrous metal flotation agent, boiler water antifoam agent. It is also the main raw material for the production of pentene, pentylamine and pentyl bromide.

Storage
