N-Butanol
N-Butanol
n-Butanol, also known as 1-butanol, colorless transparent liquid with alcohol odor. Relative density 0.81. Melting point -90.2℃, boiling point 117.7℃. Volatile, miscible with ethanol, ether and many other organic solvents.
Usage
N-butanol is mainly used in the manufacture of dibutyl phthalate, aliphatic dibasic acid and phosphoric acid n-butyl ester plasticizers, which are widely used in various plastics and rubber products. It is also the raw material for making butyraldehyde, butyric acid, butyl acetate, butylamine and butyl lactate in organic synthesis. Or the production of melamine resin, acrylic acid, oils and fats, drugs (such as antibiotics, hormones and vitamins) and spices extractant, alkyd resin coating additives. It can also be used as solvent and dewaxing agent for organic dyes and printing ink.
Packing
Can be transported in tanker trucks.
Storage
It should be stored in dry and ventilated warehouse, fire and explosion-proof, prevent from violent impact, and prevent from sunshine and rain, and stored and transported according to the provisions of flammable chemicals.
